IEEE Journal of RFID Special Issue
All WiSEE Authors can consider extending their work for the very exciting Special Issue of the IEEE Journal of RFID that is getting prepared on behalf of the Council on Radio Frequency Identification (CRFID). This special issue will showcase the latest advances in Wireless for Space and Extreme Environments, and we believe you should be part of it.
The work presented by authors at IEEE WiSEE 2023 is a base point for the submission to this special issue. Some important points to note regarding the potential submission are listed below
- Your submitted manuscript must be significantly extended beyond the scope of the conference paper in terms of the overall technical content and research results (a similarity percent match less than 30% is mandatory).
- The submission deadline is January 31, 2024. Earlier submissions are strongly encouraged as accepted manuscripts will be published as Early Access documents on IEEE Xplore once finalized.
If this is something you would like to consider kindly see submission procedures below, look at the Call for Paper, or feel free to email the Guest Editors directly (contact points below).
Submission guidelines
The following requirements must be accounted for when submitting the manuscript:
- The manuscript must be technically extended beyond the contents of the conference paper. The novelty aspects with respect to the conference paper must be properly discussed and highlighted, through the text. Additionally, the authors must provide (in the Cover Letter) information detailing how the manuscript is considered a technically-extended version of the conference paper.
- In the manuscript, the conference paper must be listed as one of the references and clearly referred. A pdf copy of the conference paper must also be submitted.
The manuscript, together with the accompanying documents (i.e. cover letter, conference paper, and IEEE copyright transfer form), must be submitted electronically using the Manuscript Central website https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/jrfid, according to the format available at https://journals.ieeeauthorcenter.ieee.org/ through the template selector.
When uploading the manuscript select the following TYPE: “WISEE 2023”. Subsequently, do not forget to upload the Cover Letter and the conference paper as “Supplemental Files for Review”. Failure to follow above request will result in the immediate return of the manuscript to the author(s) as an unacceptable submission.
For any questions on the submission process, please contact the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE JRFID, Prof. Paolo Nepa (paolo.nepa@unipi.it) or the team of Guest Editors.
